Tapas is over

Following in the tradition of ModernTales, Tabulit, and ComiXology, the webcomics platform Tapas is being shut down.

I haven’t used the site as a creator since 2021 and stopped reading anything there, also. Apparently, 2021 is when the Korean company Kakao acquired the site. The sameness of the content bored me and so I drifted away and forgot about Tapas.

That said, while I was working on Lounger, I posted the early black-and-white pages on Tapas and I got a bit of nice, encouraging feedback. So I have fond memories of the site. I may not have made any money there, but I got a bit of an audience and that is always a good.

Here is a link to my comics on Tapas (while they still exist):

In terms of what the closing of Tapas means for me, I will probably just focus on this site, as I have already. I might try another comics platform, just to find new readers. People recommend ComicFury…
